Bold Backsplash
The bold backsplash in this kitchen defines the space. The client chose a classic inset shaker kitchen design to let the backsplash steal the spotlight. Using horizontal kerfed paneling at the back and sides of the island gives it a more contemporary feel and brings in the horizontal shiplap walls found in the home. Toekick lighting is a final design element that is both practical and stylish.
